What do the mmHg numbers mean?

mmHg (millimeters of mercury) measures how much pressure the sock applies to your leg. Higher number = stronger compression. Choose based on your need, not personal preference — the wrong level can be ineffective or uncomfortable.

MILD 8-15 mmHg Travel, tired legs, everyday wear
MODERATE 15-20 mmHg Mild swelling, varicose veins, athletes
FIRM 20-30 mmHg DVT prevention, post-surgery, edema
EXTRA FIRM 30-40 mmHg Prescribed only — doctor supervision required
What is graduated compression and why does it matter?

Graduated compression means the pressure is highest at the ankle and gradually decreases up the leg. This is the clinically recommended design — it mimics the natural pumping action of your veins and actively pushes blood upward toward the heart.

Non-graduated (uniform) socks provide less therapeutic benefit. When shopping, look for "graduated compression" on the label to make sure you're getting effective support.

How to wear
Which length should I choose?
KNEE-HIGH
  • Most popular choice
  • Covers the calf muscle
  • Great for daily support & travel
THIGH-HIGH
  • Extended upper leg coverage
  • For circulation above the knee
  • Often prescribed post-surgery
PANTYHOSE / LEGGINGS
  • Full leg + waist support
  • Ideal for pregnancy
  • All-day wear coverage
FOOTLESS
  • Better breathability
  • Allows toe inspection
  • Wear with open-toe shoes
How do I measure myself correctly?

Measure in the morning, before swelling sets in — this ensures the most accurate fit. You'll need ankle circumference, calf circumference, and leg length. For thigh-highs, also measure thigh circumference.

Between sizes? Choose the larger size for your first pair — it's more forgiving and easier to put on. If a sock feels impossible to pull on, the issue is usually compression level, not size.

Who benefits most from compression socks?

If you spend long hours on your feet or sitting without moving, compression socks actively help prevent blood pooling and leg fatigue throughout the day.

How do I care for compression socks?

Hand wash or gentle machine cycle in cold water. Air dry flat — tumble drying breaks down the elastic fibers and reduces compression over time. Avoid petroleum-based creams or lotions on your legs before putting them on, as these degrade the fabric.

Replace every 3–6 months with daily wear. Once the elastic starts to feel loose, the compression level is no longer effective.

A very good option for the price

I was recently diagnosed with EDS/POTS and compression garments were recommended to me, especially waist-high compression. I wanted to see if abdominal compression helped me first before investing + in a pair and found these quite affordable Mojo shorts. I'm 5'6"/120lb and ordered a size Small. They fit well through the thighs, but I found that the waistband does not sit nearly as high on me as they appear to do on the models. The waistband is the loosest part of these shorts and even if I pull them up high, it naturally settles just above my hipbones, below my navel. Nowhere near my natural waist. So I miss out on a lot of abdominal compression that I was hoping for, unfortunately. That said, they have still been beneficial with my EDS as I feel much more stable wearing these shorts, and I do think it still helps with blood pooling for POTS.

Great Fit and Compression

These shorts fit well and make a great companion with my 20-30mmHg thigh high tights. Between my lymphedema and diabetes issues these help a lot. Overall a great addition to my compression wear.

EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED EXCEPT….

These were called yoga shorts are exactly what I needed to cover the space between my stockings and my and torso. The only mistake I made was I should have ordered the shorter option rather than the ones I purchased.

These are perfect

I've been looking for 20- 30 hhmg compression shorts to address the lipedema that goes from my knees to my hips. I've tried other brands and wasn't satisfied with the feel, the heat, the compression, or the discomfort. These Mojo shorts are awesome! I closely read other reviews and waited for my size to become available, the 3X (5'2" 205lbs). They are soooo easy to put on! They work beautifully under dresses and pants. They provide smoothing from underneath my bra down to my knees. The price is also fantastic! It can't be beat. I hope they introduce a nude or light brown color for more options.

Nice Shorts

Nice compression shorts. I purchased to help with a groin injury but they did not help with that. Overall I find d the shorts comfortable and very supportive.

If you're in between sizes, size up

I ordered the 2X as I was in between the 2X and 3X when I took my measurements, and the 3X was out of stock. Unfortunately it was just slightly too tight to be comfortable. I am a size 18 in women's for reference. But, that's not their fault, and it's a quality product. I'll be reordering in a 3X when back in stock.

Excellent product!

These shorts work perfectly for supporting the circulation in the pelvis. These shorts fit snuggly, but are not too hard to put on. They keep their position and don't ride up. They are very hot to wear in the summer.

They're good in cooler weather

I bought these for short-term use following greater saphenous vein ablation. They work well over thigh-highs or with knee-highs, and are easier to get on than compression pantyhose and are not as uncomfortable at the waist. I bought size 2XL; I'm a woman's size 14 on the bottom. That gives me adequate compression manageable comfort at the waist. But I agree with the comment that they'd be really hot in warm weather.

Happy

I was so happy to find this product. I have lymphedema of both legs, pelvis and abdomen due to bladder cancer. I have struggled to find a product that provides adequate compression because compression pantyhose are graduated, which means no compression to my thighs, pelvis and abdomen. Adding these shorts took care of the problem at an affordable price (and no seams running up the back!)

Perfect for compression while sleeping

These shorts are perfect for compressing my hips and stomach post-op when I'm sleeping.

These shorts really work for me

I have POTS and my blood pools predominantly in my abdomen, rather than my legs. This means that the compression stockings typically recommended for POTS patients aren't very helpful for me, because even the 30-40mm Hg waist-high stockings don't provide enough compression in the hips and abdomen. These shorts have been perfect for my situation, because: 1. The compression is firm throughout the legs, hips and abdomen, which literally squeezes my blood upward to my heart. I think they're firmer than the 30-40mm Hg stockings that I used before, which could be because I got the size small. (Widest hip measurement: 39.5" ; natural waist: 26.") I think a person who is a little smaller than me could still get great compression with the small shorts. 2. These shorts are so much easier to pull on and take off than the stockings. If you haven't lost strength in your hands, you can get away without using donning gloves. 3. After 3 months of daily wear, they haven't lost their firmness. At the end of the day, I wash them with my other clothes in a cold cycle and then let them air dry overnight. They bounce right back to shape. (For reference, compression stockings only maintain their firmness for about 6 months before needing replacement.) 4. These shorts cost ¼ to a 1/3 as much as the compression stockings I was trying before and they are just as high quality.

Hot and Tight

Great compression, but I'm not sure if I wil be able to wear them over 75 degrees. They don't breathe very well. I haven't had them long enough to rate their durability.

Real compression shorts, not wannabes!

I contacted customer support since my measurements are a bit different than most and they gave me size advice and when I got them they actually fit! VERY FIRM compression so if you don't need that you should probably sizeup or don't buy. It took me 5 minutes to get them on, FYI. I weigh 136lbs 5'6" 26" waist 38" hips and 23" thighs 18" above the knee I got these to help with mobile spondylolisthesis, bursitis & SI hypermobility. Hoping they help me stay in place so I can walk and hike without dislocating anything!
